Creative Director
With one foot in art and one foot in technology, Tom brings a unique perspective to his role as Fusion’s Creative Director. Tom is in the front lines of making Fusion’s content available in multimedia, including video production, graphic design, website design, curriculum material development, and social networking. As a member of Fusion’s Editorial team, Tom draws on his past experience as a contributor of cartoons and illustrations to numerous South Florida publications including the Miami New Times, Tropic, South Florida Business Journal, the Sun Reporter and the Miami Herald’s Weekend.
Tom has been a micro computer buff since the 70’s having owned and deconstructed technological artifacts like the Commodore PET, the Apple II, and the Morrow Designs MD 1. His skills were leveraged in the gainful employ of banking, title, construction, real estate, software development and civil engineering companies, among others. Tom fenced competitively for 25 years. He has twenty medals from The Sunshine State Games and twice won the Southeast United States Sectional Championships.
In his free time, he is immersed in the study of Tai Chi Chuan. Tom is manager and art director of his wife’s band, The Lu White Band, and is studying telepathic communication with his American Bulldog, Frank.
