Founder & Chairman (1952-2018)
35 years, 43 countries, and clients in five industries. Ms. StJohn acted as Counselor, Speaker, Teacher, Author, Collector and Confidante to Leaders. Demonstrating a plain-spoken directness, hinting at brilliance, tempered by compassion; she was an ally to many, helping her clients find their voice, identify the firm’s purpose, make an argument, close a deal, and build a plan. She didn’t really appear powerful at all, until she opened up and “filled the room.” She was a Force, but it was perhaps her subtlety that made her such a Master of Boardroom Strategy. As the group ultimately found its way to the big idea, she’d step back and let them say, “We did it!”
A native of the West Coast, Jennifer migrated to New York in 1980 and fell in love with Manhattan. The Fusion Group was born a bit later in the lobby phone booth of the Museum of Modern Art with a roll of quarters and a list of prospective clients. The unique Fusion approach of combining Body, Mind and Spirit in Business and Life set her and the firm she led apart in a business world still trying to catch the idea of not only being profitable, but ethical as well.
Jennifer was a Master in TaiJi. You could find her in a Yankee hat practicing in the park on weekends. She graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle. She was a collector, was married, and divided her time between Florida and Oregon.
